This is exciting as it is tiring.

• The hours spent in the lab during editing class, and Bruce losing his mind during midterms and sitting in there repeatedly singing “Changes”
• The movie marathons the weeks before the Oscars and My Top 25 of the Year list. Always put a lot of time and work into those.
• Being in the school film festival even if my professor coaxed me into it. It was just some short sequences I’d put together but I was just proud to have something in there and for people to respond to it.
• Going to the bar for the Wrestlemania party
• The short silent film we made for Rhetoric class

• Going to Madison Square Garden for LCD Soundsystem’s last ever show
  The show was one of the best I’ve ever been to, one of the most emotional I’ve ever been to and had the best setlist ever
• Being enraged that The King’s Speech beat The Social Network for Best Picture. I’M A MOVIE GEEK AND SHIT MATTERS TO ME, ARGH BARGH.
  
• Manchester Derby - Wayne Rooney’s Bicycle Kick to win it 2-1
  If you saw it, you don’t even have to ask why.
• Canadian dreamgirl I met on the bus to New York, who I had a crazy amount in common with and who was finishing my Parks & Recreation quotes, and talking about why Inception was overrated, and had been to 3 of the same concerts I was at, and OH MY GOD, WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!
• Living in JFK Terminal 2 for 3 days, I still remember every detail of the terminal down to what was in the bakery display in the downstairs Starbucks and the crappy red blankets they gave us as a substitute for hotel vouchers
• The girls on the train to Manchester who were planning a bachelorette party for their friend and bought me drinks for giving up my seat for them
  (Psst, it wasn’t my seat, but I appreciated the drinks and conversation, ladies)
• Meeting half my family I’d never met before and trying to keep up drinking with Irish people on less than 5 hours of sleep over 3 days
• Going to Old Trafford
  
• Glastonbury
  I honestly don’t even know where to begin, the Crystal Castles show, the Pulp reunion, the surprise Radiohead gig, Shangri-la and Arcadia, accidentally meeting Ke$ha and not knowing who the fuck she was, the mud and rain, eating donuts and hot chocolate every morning, that opening show from Two Door Cinema Club, watching the sun rise at Stone Circle with a bunch of fire dancers, everything was incredible.

  Ok, here’s a pop culture event I have to add cause I’m a dork. I’ve loved this guy and watched him constantly be dicked over for the past 5 years while cheering for him. On his way to contract expiration he threw a hail mary pass and broke all the company’s rules, saying everything fans have been thinking for years and it was the most exciting moment in over a decade.
  
• The return to the world of retail at *insert department store* here
  It ended up sucking away all my free-time and I met the most horrible manager I’ve ever had in my entire life, but also met some great people, including my cute coworker who I’ve become great friends with and have some good memories. Like the day I ripped my pants and work and still could oddly brag about it.
  
  
• Manchester United Supporters Club
  I joined just cause I wanted other buddies who were into it besides just friends I had tried to get into football and ended up making some really really great friends and have had some great times (ARSENAL 8-2) and some painful ones (Man City 6-1)
• That night I went to see Araabmuzik and got really fucked up, then went out after with my buddy, Kramer, and continued that train, before passing out at a Denny’s at 5:30 in the morning.
• 36 hours of Black Friday shopping
  Total madness, the crowds, deals, chaos, and the sheer fatigue at the end of my shift and my shopping

  Just a really great show, and now I gotta jet, but that’s the last one I can remember
